Plant Pathology and Microbiology
Plant pathology can be defined as the study of plant diseases caused by infectious organisms or pathogens and various environmental conditions. Various types of microorganisms including fungi, bacteria, viruses and nematodes are the main causes of these diseases. Plant pathologists study about the various aspects of the different plant diseases and also the factors that cause these diseases and the interactions between these causal agents and the plant, and methods for managing or controlling them. The respective session of Plant Pathology Conference will focus on plant microbial interactions, epidemiology of plant diseases, plant bacteriology and clinical plant pathology.
