Plant Physiology & Biochemistry
The field of plant physiology encompasses the study of plant form and function. Photosynthesis, respiration, plant nutrition, plant hormone functions, tropisms, nastic movements, photoperiodism, photomorphogenesis, circadian rhythms, environmental stress physiology, seed germination, dormancy and stomata function and transpiration, both parts of plant water relations, are the fundamental processes which is widely being studied by plant physiologists. Plant biochemistry examines the molecular mechanisms of plant life and is related to molecular science such as macromolecules and plant metabolisms, biomolecules, carbohydrates, amino acid, lipids. The respective session of Plant Physiology Conference deals with the following fields.
