Plant genetics is the study of plant-specific genes, genetic variation, and heredity. Genetic factors inherited from parental crops determine the physical appearance of plants. Many genetic techniques such as selection or genetic engineering can alter the natural transfer of genes. Not only are epigenetics genes that make us. Epigenetics in the modern sense is the term used to describe inheritance by mechanisms other than the gene sequence of DNA. Epigenetics works by adding chemical tags to the chromosomes that have an effect on or off switching genes.
